Lunch at OC Harfa

The information you'll probably never need. This is OC Harfa shopping center. There is a food court at the top floor. But the better restaurants are on the floor below, scattered among the other shops.

Centrum tance at Vaclavske namesti

This is the building where Centrum tance have their dancing lessons.

It's on the 4th floor.

It's also next to Vaclavske namesti.

Sculptures at Libensky ostrov

Libensky ostrov ... well, I have this post from 2008 which also shows sculptures at the Libensky ostrov (Libensky island).

Soooo much have changed around this part of Liben and Palmovka.

If you got to this place in 2008 you have to be a little brave and a little adventurous :)

Let's explore Vysočany a bit

Almost hidden is this rugby field of Praga Rugby club. Behind are the old factory buildings, one of the last one of the old industrial Vysočany.

And this is a small park at Vysočany metro station. Would you tell that 100m away is subway and trams and buses and shopping center and other city things? Also, it might look more romantic on the photo... but it is definitely not a romantic place :)

Getting back to the city :)

Velký mlýn library

This is a cafe and a library Velký mlýn at Palmovka. The main benefit is this outdoor seating with wifi :)

Dog walks along Rokytka

This place near Rokytka river is intended especially for dogs. But you can walk along Rokytka with your dog for hours ... and still be able to go to civilisation and get on a tram and be back home in almost no time. I would say Stromovka is still the best place to go with your dog regularly as it is so large, but these walks along Rokytka are not that bad either.

Then we decided to climb the tree, because why not.

Bezručovy sady at Vinohrady

This is the smaller west part of Bezručovy sady at Vinohrady.

Then you go downhill to this:

And then to this:

... and then you are not in Vinohrady but in Vršovice :)

Today Prague was pittoresque

 

Krejcárek

It's sometimes fascinating how easily you can get to the forrest and still be in the centre of Prague. This is basically 15 minutes walk from Karlín.

There's a big reconstruction going on with the Kotva department store.

Palmovka

From Libeň to Holešovice and Stromovka

The train connections between some of the Prague's train stations are quite good. It takes 6 minutes from Libeň to Holešovice by train while you have to take tram, bus and another tram to get there not by train.

Also, dogs can travel for free in trains and other public transport :)

Then you arrive here at Nádraží Holešovice - this is quite new part with those office buildings and by the river promenade.

With Trojský bridge views.

And option to promedane all the way to Stromovka... and enter it from the back.

Krakov and the restaurants around it

 

So this is the Krakov Shopping center which is usually visited exactly by 0 turists :)

... and this is the restaurant in front of it. It's interesting that the food court inside the Krakov shopping center is not that great, but on the left side there is a good italian restaurant and at the back also good czech restaurant (the lunch menu is only for big men, though... :)
