Rajska zahrada metro station. It was the first one that was designed to be pretty and not boring.


Those who have been to Prague most likely passed this church (walking or in a tram) near Malostranske square. The church itself isn't that much interesting.


And when you happen to forget your ticket, you pay fine. As is the blond girl in this case.

Cheap tiramisu

One cheap tiramisu tip: After 9 pm you get all tiramisu, salads and other food that won't last to the next day for half the price here at Boulevard Bageterie (something like Subway sandwiches) in Vodickova street. And they close at 11 pm.

Prague Castle as seen from a tram number 18 near the stop at National theatre. The weather was really nice today and tonight. Charles Bridge was full of people even at 10 pm. Great night for a walk. And for a little ride by a tram :)

Prague sky we haven't seen in Prague lately

There have not been that clear sky in Prague for a long time now. The summer holidays are over and so is the summer weather. Tomorrow is said to be the coldest day of this week. Well, it was so cold in Prague last week that we have to wear a winter jackets not to freeze all over.

By the way, this is Jecna street and down the way is Charles square and a little more down the way is Vltava river.

From Underground to Prague's biggest square

Exit at Karlovo namesti metro station to the square of the same name. It is Charles square in English and it is Prague's biggest square with tram connections to the most places in Prague. Literally, you will get everywhere in Prague from Charles square by tram.

I'm having a birthday tomorrow. Thus I wanted to post a really nice picture. Only before I saw this ugly one in my iPhoto library. It's from a tram number 26. And now you would easily guess how old I am :)

Mum, we're going swimming (to Podoli, Prague's best swimming pool :)

Podoli is part of Prague with the best (and the biggest) swimming pool. There were tens of cars parked everywhere and trams were full of *going to* and *going from* swimmers of every age.

And there is more! Zlute lazne ("Yellow baths") is a place at the Vltava river with a beach and all you can have near a typical tourists driven beach (they have a little ski slope in winter here, too :). Zlute lazne is very trendy. They must have great marketing/PR team because they had a tv reality show here last year, all of the fashion magazines do their summer shooting here.

And I love that inflatable thing the girl has. Is it a centipede? :)

Prague's new tram

We have three generations of trams in Prague now. Well, not three but four - the really old ones (for tourists), old ones, the newer ones and this, the brand new one. I would say the newest is also the best. Which is good as it doesn't happen so often that the new is the best. The second on my chart would be the old ones. That one between these two doesn't have its soul, it just transports you from A to B.
