More and more doors

Door, Prague
Door, Prague
Sokol at Zitna street, Prague
First from Vrsovice, second from the hill in Smichov and the last one from Zitna street.

The last door is to Sokol Prazsky, which is kind of a sport club more than 100 years old. I used to play basketball here... going through these doors three or four times a week. BTW, did you see who won this year's All Star Game Slam Dunk Contest? Amazing!

Building a building in a building

Construction at Wenceslas square in Prague
This is how they build new hotels in Prague. The front is the original historical front left almost untouched and the inside is absolutely completely new. This one's from Wenceslas square.

PS: If you'd like to see a typical Rome morning you have that chance at Rome Photo Blog in Lunedi' Mattina — Part I and Lunedi' Mattina — Part II.

This was my bank

Komercni bank at Na Prikope street, Prague
Komercni banka bank at Na Prikope street. They used to have this cool student's accounts - (almost) everything for free and 333 CZK each year as a bonus (that's roughly 10 EURO or 15 USD). Not much, but when you're a student, everything counts :) I bet you know it. I would have stayed with them but it took them years and years to offer internet banking for Mac.

Light from the backyard

Light from the backyard, Prague

Let's finish this week with a peak to an abandoned garden

Abandoned garden in Prague
I'm always amazed that these places exist almost in the center of Prague, where you not even expect them.

We're in EU, you know?

EU sign on football stadium in Vrsovice, Prague
And this halfyear it's even the Czech Presidency of European Union. So maybe you heard about this art installation called Entropa. It's by David Cerny who also did babies on TV Tower and many more. Like this tank...

Random window with a flower

Window with a flower, Prague
I've always wondered how it is to live on the ground floor with strangers looking in your windows.

PS: I must admit I somehow like the cropped version of this image more (as seen on Twitter :)

Any Brad Pitt fans here?

Brad Pitt on a poster for Benjamin Button movie - Vysehrad, Prague
If you want to go to the movies Benjamin Button shouldn't be a bad choice. In addition, Kakna recommends Waltz with Bashir and my pick would be Milk (by the way, have you seen Fast Times at Ridgemont High?).

Does this mean skiing season is over?

Ski boots, Prague
... hopefully not.

PS: If you have 2 minutes you can waste them on watching my 2 favourite ads from Super Bowl. One from Pepsi, one from Coca Cola.

My new favourite basketball court

Basketball court in Prague
Finally found the right basketball court! Surprisingly it isn't that easy in Prague. Most of them are coupled with football field and, you know, everybody plays football here so no basketball for the rest of us. Second obstruction is that they are usually locked - school courts, mainly. And if you can get in, I bet there's 95% chance that the baskets are pulled down. So this is my new favourite basketball court.
