I guess I still have login to this blog :) So, the question was: was there a Petrin photo on the blog? I though not, but that is not true. There was... 17 years ago.

It looks better nowadays. And so does the vast garden complex that surrounds it and is probably better to see if you are deciding between this and let's say Riegrovy sady.

I liked the moon. And our little Eiffel tower. It almost doesn't look like there are lots of buildings around you and that you're just in the city center.

One unrelated question: Have you seen the new Sex in the city movie?

Prague's (little) version of Eiffel tower

Petrinska rozhledna/Petrin lookout tower is Prague's so called smaller version of Paris' Eiffel tower. It was build in 1891. When the weather is right you can see places in the Czech republic that are more than 100km far away. There's a grand view on Prague Castle as well :)

The only drawback is that it is on the top of Petrin hill and you have to literally climb up here. But than again, there are those fabulous views on Prague during your climb.

Saturday morning

St. Vitus Cathedral at 10 am on Saturday. A lot of tourists, mostly Italians. The entry fee is 100 Kc (Czech crowns; that is about 3.50 Euro). But it is going to be entirely free from next week. And starting tomorrow Prague castle's gardens are being opened.
