Prague at Christmas, Prague at Winter

Guess some of you have it literally the same. This Winter and Christmas in Prague were so not winterish or Christmasish...

Let's start with winter. There is no snow and it's not freezing. Not a bit. People walk here in summer sneakers. Wouldn't believe it myself. Where is the snow?

And the Christmas. This time it was so differrent. Our former president Vaclav Havel died. There was three-day mourning just prior the Christmas day. He was a great man. And his spirit was in the air. And people were calm and thinking about things we don't usually think about. It really was different.

Still lots and lots of tourists here in Prague, though.

Dejvice - look at the view

Dejvice is our new home. For at least a few more months. And there's one thing about Dejvice... it is really nice for living. It's on the other side of Prague (north) which is calm, full of nature, and still close to everything. Plus you get those spectacular views from Dejvice. That's Prague Castle on the horizon. I will show you more as we wander around Dejvice, usually in great amazement :)

Jeep and its 70 years

Did you know that Jeep celebrates 70th anniversary this year? Well, we spent last few months planning a big celebration of its 70 years here in the Czech Republic. It turned out to be a big success :) We had over 100 Jeeps on the rivefront in Prague facing the Prague Castle and went up to 165 Jeeps at our two more locations in central Bohemia. What a great three days :)

Did you notice similar celebrations in your county? I'm being a little curious :)
