Black Cadillac STS in Prague

I have a lot of photos of cars in Prague streets and I have quite a lot of this Cadillac STS at various places (like this one at Flickr). I think this is the only new generation STS in Prague. Maybe they have one or two at a showroom but I doubt there really are more of them in Prague, even in the Czech Republic.

Few years ago Cadillac (or better to say its local dealer) entered the Czech market with an interesting campaign. They cooperated with Mountfield, company that sells gardening stuff (from the smallest tools to swimming pools), and they have about 100 Cadillac CTS' in prices for buying that garden stuff. You can imagine what kind of reputation Cadillac got in Czech Republic after that. It definitely was not a luxury, always on the technology edge kind of vehicle.

I just got invitation for two big Cadillac meetings in Europe. There's one in May (organized by German Cadillac club and Cadillac & LaSalle Club) and one at the end of August (in Kremsmunster) - both in Germany.

And a friend of mine bought Cadillac Escalade ESV few months ago... he pulls his 1968 Dodge Charger behind it. Well, he has more great cars :) Actually, I have his Charger in a photoset on Flickr, too. Just click here and find it.

Prague sky we haven't seen in Prague lately

There have not been that clear sky in Prague for a long time now. The summer holidays are over and so is the summer weather. Tomorrow is said to be the coldest day of this week. Well, it was so cold in Prague last week that we have to wear a winter jackets not to freeze all over.

By the way, this is Jecna street and down the way is Charles square and a little more down the way is Vltava river.

From Underground to Prague's biggest square

Exit at Karlovo namesti metro station to the square of the same name. It is Charles square in English and it is Prague's biggest square with tram connections to the most places in Prague. Literally, you will get everywhere in Prague from Charles square by tram.

Mercedes at Prague's Old Town

Under Church of Our Lady in front of Týn and with Old Town square at the end of this street. Quite a nice place to park your car :)

There's a classic music shop in this street. They play this music all day long. Pretty loud. So you can enjoy centuries old architecture of Prague with centuries old music. But not many people stop here. It's just a quick way to get to Old Town square.

Building at Strasnice

This is one of the newer buildings at Prague district Strasnice. They have one of the Prague skateparks nearby and also a shop with lcd monitors (good prices and have the actual monitors in the shop). That was the reason I was here. But as I didn't write their address I completely forgot it and after a half an hour of searching I gave up. It was late, too. Maybe next time.

Tram will tell you how old I am

I'm having a birthday tomorrow. Thus I wanted to post a really nice picture. Only before I saw this ugly one in my iPhoto library. It's from a tram number 26. And now you would easily guess how old I am :)

Another Prague Skatepark at Strasnice

One of the Prague skateparks is at Strasnice. Strasnice is a part of Prague and also a name of a metro station, and a tram station and a bus station. I went there two days after seeing Lords of Dogtown movie. And it was almost like it :)

I tried to catch one of the skateboarders in this picture. But my shooting without looking has its limitations. So this is what i got. The red and white colors are part of the Czech national flag (the missing blue color is on the opposite side of this skate pool).
